#DatKingShh Friday Spotlight @Shotgunsuge103 @UDuBBNetwork @urltv

I wasn't the biggest Shotgun Suge fan. I thought he was real basic. But I would say the last 2 years he really perfected his style. Lyrically he's still basic, but with his delivery angles and his whole image it fits him. The punches he does do are basic but now they are much better written than they used to be.

He literally went from my most hated battler on URL to one of my favorites and one of the only ones who has remained consistent.

Him and Arsonal also make a great 2 on 2 team and hope to see 1 or 2 more of these from them.

DAYLYT WINS HIS URL DEBUT VERSUS ROOKIE MIKE P @urltv @DAYLYT2k vs @isthismike_p

I have never been a big Mike P fan and never seen the hype. I felt he was gassed as a white guy on Smack.  I think this was I seen him. He had good bars. I just don't see what makes him stand out. Hes just one of the bunch.
I think Daylyt was too much for him when it comes to performance and charisma. Its much more than punches
But I have to say this was the first battle from Mike P I actually liked

Only negative with Daylyt is constant repeating himself like people not catching it
Days wordplay is actual Wordplay. Not just dumb schemes and double entendre

And says some real shit.
Mike P is just a good rapper who does these dumb as fake gun bars to get on URL.

I might become a fan of Mike P if he comes like this but he still got outclassed

BEST CHICKS IN BATTLE RAP @QOTRING @urltv @DontFlop @kingofthedot @grindtimenow @SaRaKaNa @BonnieGodiva @OhBlimeyTheKid @DekayRapper @EHart16 @iMyVerse @YoungGattas

Top 5 Females in Battle
This is my list for the top 5 female battlers of the modern era. I watch allot of females from different parts of the world with varying styles. This is my list of the my favorites I’ve seen in this modern battle era.
If you disagree with the list tell me why and let me know your favorite.

I will list who I like what I like about them and one of my favorite battles from them

5. Oh Blimey I think she made a mistake in giving up battling when she did/ She had potential to really be one of the greats  Just not enough material to go on but I was a big fan

4. Dekay She will be on my list and most people will be like huh who is she. You have to be a follower of Don’t Flop and/or the UK battle scene to know who Dekay is. Why did Dekay make my list. Simply she is the best freestyler in female battle rap

3.       E hart- One of the most underrated greats in battle rap. I think she’s just a rappers rapper. She got such an MC vibe. She really needs to learn to market herself better.Other than Gattas she is probably # 1 female right now.

2   MyVerse-Easily the best newby to the ring. Myverse been on a tear. Shes starting to get the big names and the vets and I don’t think any of them can fuck with her  on any level Aswell shes one of the sexiest battle rappers without trying to be sexy. I resect that

1. Young Gattas Gattas is easily the best female in battle rap and has been the best female in battle rap for almost the last decade. I feel that the way she came in the Grind Time circles make some people have less respect for resume However Gattas was battling dudes before many of these girls were willing to. Freestyle delivery bars She has it. There is not a female in battle rap more

Honorable Mention

MzBlackPearl Is my artist so even though I think she nice enough to make the list her resume isn’t big. And her being my artist will just be bias

MsFit I been a MsFit fan she really just don’t battle enough

Bonnie Godiva Nobody can sell a fight like Bonnie and she has really impressed me 2015-2016 She been on her shit with some classic performances
And has been facing dudes on the regular

Sara Kana  Just Because she’s Sara Kana and deserves respect

#DatKingShh #TBT DON'T FLOP - Rap Battle - Dirtbag Dan Vs Oshea @DirtbagDan408 @osheaefc @DontFlop @twitteurgh #battlerap

Two of my favorite battlers going head to head. I like the vibe of both DBD and Oshea battles. They are two guys I could see still battling if there wasn’t the money behind it.

Robbie G ft Moka Only - Koolin' (Official Video) (prod. by Dave Alexander) @RobbieGmusic @MOKA_ONLY

Robbie G returns with the first single from his upcoming project, exclusively produced by Guelph, ON EDM producer, Dave Alexander. “Koolin” features JUNO-award winning artist Moka Only and is accompanied by visuals directed by childhood friend, Matt Bhrid, and shot by Andrew Gough. Shot in Kelowna, British Columbia and Okanagan Valley and showcasing the beautiful scenery that Western Canada has to offer. The single is available for purchase on all major digital music retailers. DJ Packs (Dirty, Clean, Instrumental, etc.) are available upon request for any DJs and Radio Hosts that would like to support the single!

Robert Gruenbauer is an emcee from Guelph Ontario that goes by the name, "Robbie G."

He began making hip-hop music in 1994, recording tracks to play on the announcements at school using a karaoke machine, an old lamp (to hold the mic) and some duct tape. What started as a simple way to create awareness on a particular topic soon became an everyday enjoyment for Robbie G and he was instantly inspired and invigorated with the need to be on a mic sharing his thoughts. Growing up in rural areas of Ontario, Canada with little to no hip-hop scene it was hard for him to be heard by the local people and even harder to find quality hip-hop CD's in the stores. With the internet becoming more popular, he quickly went to his computer in search of hip-hop for listening and also for a platform he could use to promote and release his music worldwide.

Robbie has found the internet to be an essential tool in acquiring new fans and promoting his music. He learned early on that no one was going to come along and make all his dreams come true. He had to do this all himself and after reading the book "I Don't Need a Record Deal" he was convinced that the DIY approach was best. It became very overwhelming as he took on the role of booking agent, engineer, promoter....and musician but it helped him learn all the facets of the industry and develope a solid work ethic that would serve him well even to this day. After doing a handfull of shows in his local area, his eyes were set on Toronto, the big city! Using his online connections he got a few shows booked in the city and not to long after was noticed by a hip-hop camp called "I Respect Music" run by a woman named "Essence". Once they saw some of his performances and got to know the type of person he was they selected him to be a part of the team. This soon led to doing shows with such artists as Canibus, Killah Priest (Wu Tang Clan), Joell Ortiz, Scratch from the Roots, Kurupt, Choclair, Freeway, Illa J, Frank Nitt and many amazing Toronto artists.

With the confidence of having the respect of his peers and the constant practise in the booth recording 7 mixtapes Robbie G was ready to work on his first official Album. He has always worked on crafting music that truly reflects himself as a person and never wants to projects an image that is not a part of who he is, His music thus far had been a mix of thought provoking songs covering topics such as the time he spent in jail for selling drugs, the corruption in society and the government, the true essence of hip-hop being lost in todays music and also about having a good time with your life and enjoying the wonders of it.

Along with running the day to day operations of a studio and hosting a hip-hop Radio show at the University of Guelph, Robbie G is a large promoter for many local events is his area. some of the more recent people he has been working with are: Snak The Ripper, Zaze of 9-0-nickel, Mindbender Supreme, Mic Gutz, Molly Gruesome, Spesh K, Adlib, Nki-Louise and a list of over 100 other artists from across the globe Including Germany, France, Italy, the U.K., U.S.A. and more. He's shared stages with such acts as Scratch from The Roots, Joell Ortiz, Kurupt, Canibus, Killah Priest (Wu Tang Clan), Freeway, Choclair, Illa J, Frank Nitt, Angerville, Devilz Speciez, and many more.

"I really try to send a positive message in my lyrics and always stay true to myself. I talk about real life, good times...and bad times, but most importantly my goal as an emcee is to impact all the people in the world, inspiring them to believe that nothing is impossible and that if you dream big and work hard you will go far." says Robbie G. Many of his lyrics are focused around a deep sense of the importance of spiritualism and contemplating the reasons for existence. The artists Robbie G looks up to in the game are people such as Nas, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, a Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, EPMD, Guru & DJ Premier, The Fugees, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Eminem, Styles P, Shad, Classified, Eternia, Hilltop Hoods...etc. He says "mostly all I listen to is people who talk truth through their words with conviction n passion behind it."

Mike Melinoe - Caveman EP @mikemelinoe

When you hear Caveman, you won't be surprised that Mike Melinoe is a product of Detroit, Michigan. His lyrical style recalls Eminem's syllabic knots, his voice stretches like Danny Brown, and he summons images with the grotesque clarity of Esham. But that's not the only reason. Melinoe's music is a psychedelic trip through abandoned factories, greyscale cityscapes, and the sort of psychotic imagination that can only exist in the place between boredom and despair. The songs on the EP swing between the confessional collage of "DLOG TAOG" to the stoned love-poetry of "Nightmares"- but are held together by his singular sneer and unhinged vision. A clear highlight is "Man, Cave", the almost eponymous track in the middle of the EP. It'll leave you wondering whether Caveman is a reference to his primal ad-libs or the druggy half-reality his raps grow out of like the images in Plato's Cave. The kid is a demon, haunting a post-industrial wasteland with a playful vengence. Yeah--he'll rap circles around you, whipping around language like a lasso, but he'll do it all with a red-eyed stare.

-Alex Nicoll, Writer, Formerly at The Needle Drop and No Fillers

Bio: Mindfully mysterious, Detroit’s conscious riddler Mike Melinoe is a demigod. Combining psychedelic sounds and a lo-fi internet-bred aesthetic with old-school lyricism, The Organic Geniuses founder deliberately swerves his way through drugged-out ballads with crisp clarity. Melinoe’s music exists in a plane that marries classic boom-bap to the intricate chaos that can only be summoned by a computer. Melinoe snarls with an elevated consciousness about his life, but eschews narrative for a collage of images. With impressive vocal elasticity, the artist treats beats as blank canvases rather than a series of lines waiting to be colored within.
